1. Journey

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up in my hotel room, it was very artsy which reminds me of Taiwan's hotel room which has very interesting artsy features too!

I was walking along this narrow path which reminds me of the a path in Taiwan. Both path are sandwich  in between the store front pathway and stationary objects.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was hungry. :(
I smell a wonderful aroma, I followed the aroma and I was lead to a cafe which was inside SMU.
I sat there and drink ice blended soya bean and ate a red bean pancake which the red bean paste look a little like shit. HEHEHE!
It takes me back to the time when I was in Taiwan, I went to a toilet theme restaurant to have my lunch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After lunch, I went for a stroll, I see these two building, the owner inside are in their mid 20s. I overhead a conversation by one of the worker in white European building, they said that both owners are rivals as they are selling similar stuff like designers furnitures. Which bring backs to me when i was in Taiwan, both stall owners are rivals too as the business there is competitive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I continue walking, this building with a facade that had many holes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so tired, I need a break from all those walking, thus I sat at Lasalle, it has a open space which is very windy, the wind is so strong that when I open my mouth to catch the wind, it feels like I am eating an ice cream.

Video 4

After all the relaxation, I went to the nearest bus- stop to take a bus.
Video 4 is the sound of vehicles moving off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

while on the bus, at around 10 minutes later, I look out of the window and saw these 2 towers which I felt that it is for air ventilation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After that, around 5 minutes later,
I came across this very wide road which can fit up to 4 vehicles in a row.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About 14 minutes later, i reach my destination which is monotone. The place is very serene, not much vehicles and people. The place look very dead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the end, I finally understand why the place is so serene as many elderly people stays there.

From what i found out from a passerby, elderly people prefer quieter places, a place which has slower pace in life, things that are in calm colors.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are not much moving vehicles on the road, but there are plenty of cars lined up at the side, the cars are in vivid colors, which is very contrasting to the monotone building. This brings back my memories when I was shopping in a flea market, the clothes are so colorful and vivid, but some of the store owners are not very friendly, instead they are very grumpy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As i walk down the road, I heard some noise, I follow the sound and I ended up at the void deck which is fill with many elderly. Some where playing chess, some were whistling to the bird in the cage, and there were some busy chatting away. I feel that this is the heart of the estate, this is their common area which they would gather together and chill out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was amused by the Chinese chess as they have complicated rules and also when they are trying to attack they would say "chi" which means eat. The eaten chess piece would then be forfeited.
